Steering and Survival Basics
Your worm follows the mouse cursor across a shared arena filled with food points. Eating standard food increases length; toxic food reduces it, so every pickup is a quick risk-reward read. Touching another worm costs one of your three lives per battle, which means survival depends on reading traffic as much as chasing growth. The three-life structure softens early mistakes and encourages aggressive play later in a match.Skill Unlocks and Timing
Three abilities unlock as your worm grows: acceleration at length 11, a stop ability at length 100 that holds position for up to 5 seconds, and a phase mode at length 500 that lets you pass through other worms. Because each skill has a length gate, early play is about safe feeding, while late play becomes about when to burn acceleration or phase through a crowded cluster. Pressing left-click or Q triggers acceleration, W stops, and E activates phase mode.Reading the Arena
Every match mixes players with different worm sizes and playstyles. A large worm is a threat to collide with, but also a slow target when it commits to acceleration. The stop ability creates traps for chasers who expect constant movement. Phase mode is the strongest escape tool, but it is unavailable until length 500, so mid-sized worms must rely on positioning and acceleration timing instead.Progression and Social Tools
Gold earned through play can be spent in the in-game shop to upgrade your worm, giving longer sessions a persistent goal beyond the leaderboard. Keys 1 through 5 send smileys to other players, a small social layer that fits the short match format. A personal invite link lets you bring friends into the same arena, and the global leaderboard tracks rank across the player base.Editorial Notes
